I created these maps for a client of the University of Wisconsin Cartography Lab. She needed reference maps for a book she was publishing about her research regarding hydroelectric dam infrastructure in South America. So, I created one broad map of South America that highlighted her specific research area, and a second map of just her research area, which was focused around the Itaipu Dam that falls on the border of Paraguay and Brazil.
