Hi there! My name is Ellie, and I make maps. Currently, I am the cartographer for the Travelers' Health Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). I hold a Master of Science in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Applied Science in Spatial Analysis for Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. My professional interests are primarily in public health applications of cartography and GIS, specifically infectious disease and epidemiologic risk mapping, but I also love making hand-drawn and painted maps and digital illustrations on the side. I live in Atlanta, Georgia with my dog, Maggie.
I am also available to be hired as a freelance cartographer. Please shoot me an email if you're interested in working together, I'd love to hear from you!
